"Summer 2010 at the seashore"
Summer 2010 will see us offering our largest range of summer schools and courses to date. We thought that it would be fun to work to a theme this year, so the majority are loosely based around the seashore (we’re located just 7 miles from the coast).
We’ve also incorporated quite a few totally different craft topics, as we know you all like to try something new, so we’ll be hosting writer’s retreats, decorating cupcakes and undertaking creative computing alongside some of our more traditional textile techniques. So as a beginner you can learn to knit, learn to crochet and learn hand embroidery and more advanced courses you can learn knitting techniques, free form crochet, learn creative embroidery, different methods of felting and many more.
This year we’ve also introduced online booking (with a 10% OFF discount for booking this way) which we think many of you will find more convenient.

We sell a unique range of country living inspired gifts designed by textile artists and handcrafted in rural Lancashire presented alongside a selection of vintage fabrics.
Our children's beginners' kits are designed to inspire the younger generation to participate in traditional crafts and apply them in a modern environment.
Courses in a box
Each of the adult's beginners' kits provides a comprehensive grounding in the chosen craft, enabling a complete beginner to become proficient in a number of different techniques. When the kit is completed they will be better equipped to progress onto more advanced aspects of the craft they have chosen.
